How does the AI Act relate to the GDPR?
The AI Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) apply in parallel. The GDPR applies when personal data is processed in connection with the development or use of AI. Even when training an AI model, it is not uncommon for personal data to be processed, in which case the GDPR applies.
