The Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) has supervised the company Miljödata i Karlskrona AB following a major personal data breach resulting from a cyberattack. The review shows that Miljödata has failed to implement adequate security measures for the personal data the company processed. IMY therefore decides to impose an administrative fine of SEK 1.8 million.

The Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) has launched FantomApp in Sweden, an app designed to help young people protect their personal data on social media. The app can, among other things, help with security settings for social media, test passwords and blur photos.
